When Kids Work the Neighborhood, Everyone Benefits
Recent concern about falling birthrates has led to considerable discussion about the family-unfriendliness of most American neighborhoods. Proposed solutions as simple as adding sidewalks to local streets could make it easier for children to play and walk freely and safely near their homes, reducing parental stress.

The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over “native” Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy & wrong explanation). A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture. Tough questions demand tough answers & if we’re really serious about fixing the problem, we have to confront the TRUTH: Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long (at least since the 90s and likely longer). That doesn’t start in college, it starts YOUNG.

After years of fanning, foisting and folding in perverted content that makes many parents mad and threatens to confuse and propagandize their children, the legacy media company is reversing course on a transgender theme planned for an upcoming animation special. The series, Win or Lose, is scheduled for release in February. The storyline revolves around a middle school softball team that features both boys and girls on the squad.

California law requires foster parents to affirm a child’s “sexual orientation” or “gender identity.” The mandate is being used to exclude Christians with biblical views about sexuality and relationships from the state’s foster care system. Other states, including Vermont, Oregon, Washington and Massachusetts, also exclude parents from foster care if they believe in God’s male-female design for humanity.

The National Center for Gender Spectrum Health is a radical initiative of the taxpayer-funded University of Minnesota’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Health. Mercator recently ran a piece, “101 Books Millennials Must Read Before They Die”. No chance of that happening according to a new report from the UK’s National Literacy Trust showing that, of 76,000 British schoolchildren surveyed, only a third said they enjoyed reading for pleasure, the lowest figure since such polls began in 2005.

For the past several years, the American public has been making it clear that they are sick of being force-fed transgender nonsense. Disney took a massive hit after embracing gender ideology. Bud Light’s stock cratered, and they are now releasing a string of macho advertisements (one featuring Shane Gillis) that come as close to begging Americans to drink their swill as they can get without actually apologizing. During the presidential election, Trump’s ads targeting gender ideology had an outsize impact.

While parents and other citizens are rightly concerned with the curricula in schools and the books in their libraries, another threat to parental rights and the wellbeing of minors exists in “school-based health centers.” The Daily Signal highlights an issue with one such proposal in Maine, where a high school would operate a center that could give out abortifacient birth control. The Maine School Administrative District 11 would “provide confidential ‘mental health, reproductive health, and substance use’ care to minors who ‘demonstrate decision-making capacity,’” according to The Daily Signal.
