First Liberty Joins Supreme Court Brief Supporting Parental Rights and Religious Freedoms

Protests erupted outside Norwood Primary School in England, as Christians voiced frustration over the school’s cancellation of its traditional Easter parade and church service. Around 50 demonstrators gathered with banners criticizing Headteacher Stephanie Mander, accusing her of sidelining Christianity. The protest at the school in Eastleigh, Hampshire, on Friday, was in response to a letter from Mander to parents announcing that the school wouldn’t be holding its usual Easter Bonnet Parade or Easter Service this year, according to The Telegraph.

Church Fights Back Against Washington State Law Forcing Churches to Fund Abortions

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing a Seattle-area church filed a petition Thursday with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit asking the full court to review a decision by a split three-judge panel in Cedar Park Assembly of God v. Kreidler. The panel majority’s ruling forces the church to violate its constitutionally protected, pro-life religious beliefs and instead follow the state’s requirement that most Washington employers provide abortion coverage for employees.

There are plenty of surveys swirling about faith — or lack thereof — in America, but there are some encouraging new statistics offering rays of hope.
A recently released survey from Barna Group found a majority of adults disagree with the claim the “church is not relevant in today’s world,” with 41% stating they “definitely disagree” with the sentiment and 24% saying they “somewhat disagree” with it.
