Soon, A Majority of Older Adults Will Have No Grandchildren Because Their Children are Refusing to Have Kids
An article in the New York Times outlined the hidden pain of parents who will never become grandparents, due to the choices of their children. The author stated that in 2014, 60% of adults 50 and older had at least one grandchild. In 2021, that rate fell to slightly over 50%. She added that many adults in the United States are not having children, and one of the top reasons is that “they just don’t want to.”

While euthanasia is immoral and should be outlawed in all cases, a fact affirmed by the Catholic Church, when MAiD was first introduced in 2016, it was initially only available to those who were terminally ill, and those killing the patients had to follow a series of steps before administering the lethal drugs. Later, in 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government expanded the deadly practice to be available to those who are not at risk of death but who suffer solely from chronic illness.

Pro-choice author Magda Denes, Ph.D., interviewed abortionists and clinic workers for her book In Necessity and Sorrow, Life and Death Inside an Abortion Hospital. Surprisingly, many of the abortionists she interviewed admitted that they were terminating life. Some even used the term “murder.”

In a recent session from the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, part of the United Nations’ Human Rights Committee, numerous countries were criticized for having high rates of abortion for children diagnosed prenatally with Down syndrome. Numerous countries were singled out, and the report was surprising to many, given the United Nations’ staunch abortion advocacy.

UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY, November 15 (C-Fam) Argentina stood alone against censorship in the General Assembly this week. Argentina voted against a resolution on violence against women in digital spaces because it included “broad and undefined terms such as hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation, which are easily abused to restrict free speech.”
Read MoreHere’s The Real Reason Why Our Birth Rate Is Plummeting
We have talked a lot over the years about the decline in the birthrate and the rapidly increasing number of young adults who are refusing to get married and have children. As much as we’ve discussed the subject, we still have not discussed it enough. It is one of the great crises facing our civilization at the present moment. When a society gives up on having children, it has given up on its future, given up on itself.
Read More‘Broken pieces’: Women who regret abortions come ‘Face to Face’ with abortion survivor
Live Action’s latest video series, “Face to Face,” pairs people who were once on opposite sides of the abortion issue to speak to one another candidly about the toll abortion has taken on their lives and the lives of others. In the latest installment, Live Action founder and president Lila Rose facilitates a discussion between two abortion survivors and two women who deeply regret their abortions.
Read MorePregnant with cancer: ‘It was after I refused abortion that the doctor offered options’
Pro-abortion rhetoric continues to expand in the United States as abortion advocates dive deeper into the claim that induced abortion — the direct and intentional act of killing a preborn baby — is somehow a treatment for health conditions during pregnancy, including cancer.
Read MorePro-Life Group Unveils “Make America Pro-Life Again” Roadmap to Save Babies From Abortions
Although Americans rejected Kamala Harris’ radical abortion agenda last week and voted down multiple pro-abortion ballot measures, other states approved abortions up to birth. The Dobbs decision has been a great start for protecting babies from abortions. So far, 13 states protect all babies from abortion starting at conception and another 4 states have a heartbeat law protecting babies at 6 weeks when their heartbeats can be detected. A few other states are still in court fighting for their pro-life laws. But, unfortunately, over half of America has abortion on demand. And pro-life groups are fighting hard to change that.
Read MoreIllusions of Control and the Ableism of Big Fertility
There are many things that money cannot buy, but increasingly, the fertility industry is making it clear that a family just might be something you can. After spending $100,000 on their first child, killed by an abortion, conceived via surrogate, the Rangerses—who had made a small fortune in real estate before retiring to the Caribbean in their early forties—commissioned a second and third child for a total of $300,000. Given the price they paid, it is hardly surprising that the couple would want to ensure they receive products of the highest quality. The story of their first surrogate child’s short life is one of injustice and commodification that reveals the fertility industry’s profound ableism.
Read MoreBillionaire money still poses the biggest threat to the pro-life movement
“(LifeSiteNews) — Over the past few days, pro-lifers have been taking stock of the political landscape after the re-election of Donald Trump. As I noted in this space earlier this week, we know what Kamala Harris will not be able to do; we know less about what Trump will or will not do. But politics aside, the past two years have given us a good look at the biggest challenges facing the movement.
First and foremost is the fact that the pro-life movement simply does not have access to the kind of cash that abortion activists do. In fact, when you consider what the pro-life movement was up against, it is incredible that three abortion referendums were beaten considering the nonstop storm of propaganda voters were faced with. Abortion activists have a large network of organizations, big-bag donors like the Gates family and the Soros foundations, and of course, Planned Parenthood’s war chest. The billionaire class overwhelmingly supports the abortion movement, and they do so generously.”

“As U.S. Catholic bishops gather for their annual fall meeting this week in Baltimore, the specter of President-elect Donald Trump’s resounding victory will hang over the proceedings.
The incoming Trump administration offers promise and peril for American Catholic leaders’ top policy concerns, which include abortion and immigration.”
